About

I’m Chris Lenshyn.  Husband to a beautiful wife, and the father to an amazing son.  I’m the associate pastor at Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Abbotsford, British Columbia seemingly entrenched within the endless and very multicultural sub-urban/urban sprawl of the Fraser Valley.

This is a blog about the messy collision between my context and Anabaptism.  It will explore and wonder if there is similarities between Anabaptism’s roots in the 16th century, and the faith tradition that is practiced today.  I will reflect on my life as an Anabaptist pastor and engage local and global current events from the hopeful, prophetic and justice seeking eyes of Anabaptism.

Simply put, it is a record of my attempt to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.  It’s a blog about living Anabaptistly… whatever that means.
